On September 8, 2010 I decided to take the afternoon off and try some ham radio portable operations. I'm glad I did!

I found a new spot in Brown County that is quiet and relaxing. The sound of the 30 foot waterfall in the distance (about 100 yards down stream) was soothing. I watched the hawks hunt while I was looking for QSOs.

It was a great day! The frosting on the cake was when I worked W3FF using a Buddipole that I bought directly from him in Dayton this last year.
