Wisconsin ARES/RACES conference announcement
We are pleased to announce the WI ARES/RACES Conference 2009 will take
place this year on October 31 and November 1 at the Hotel Mead and
Conference Center in Wisconsin Rapids. This years' Conference is
presented by WeComm, Ltd.
The Conference will be ghoulishly good this year, not only because it
is taking place on All Hallows Eve and All Saints Day, but we will take
advantage of the allegedly haunted Hotel Mead and are working to
arrange an exercise/public service event around Wisconsin Rapids' Trick
or Treating.
The 11th Annual Conference will be different because Day 1 will be the
general conference open to anyone interested in Wisconsin ARES/RACES
and Day 2 will be designed specifically for leadership personnel. Day
2 will be critical in developing skills necessary to be successful in
leading ARES/RACES teams. Registration will open on July 1, 2009, and
be available from the WI ARES/RACES web site
http://www.wi-aresraces.org/info_09_conf.htm.
Registration, including payment, will be online. We will also offer a
free Conference registration to a lucky winner and are working on some
very nice ham radio door prizes.
As you all know, times are changing rapidly. In order to continue to
be effective, our organization needs to be predictive in changing with
it. Because of the economy and other events, this may be the most
important conference yet!
We look forward to seeing you in Wisconsin Rapids on October 31 and
November 1.
