Happy Holidays
Submitted by N0EXE on Sat, 11/26/2011 - 02:13Yeh, I know, just say Merry Christmas. I agree. Been over a year since my last blog post. Just reread it. Yup, I've been properly lubed. Brandy slush this time. Still no puff corn. Gave em of up in favor of fitting into skinny jeans. More on my diet later.
So, Dad died, Mom is doing well, keeping the farm, I'm still a farmer. Mom is doing more and planning to retire to the old homestead.

The last nice night of Summer and Rabbit poop.
Submitted by N0EXE on Sat, 10/09/2010 - 01:33I am in my standard blogging frame of mind...fueled by alcohol. As the title says, I have had a few and am working on the Korbel as I type. It is presently, according to the Droid, 78 deg. I cranked up the firepit, tiki torches (which are not working very well) and have finished some lefover sesame chix which my lovely wife ordered the other night...mmmm.

Korbel, Puffcorn & Star Trek
Submitted by N0EXE on Sun, 08/08/2010 - 02:15Well I can't have a better day than this, I started the day with a 3ish hour breakfast with KC9ECI, KC9IKU and W9UUM. I got lots so of yard work done and am enjoying the subject in the title. Even spent a bit of time burning ozone on the N0EXE repeater chatting with them again. Gotta love 'em all.
The best part, by far, was Jim falling off his chair when I actually responded to a call on the repeater...hi hi.
Hearing a Vulcan say 'the ball is in our court' is funny.
Puffcorn should be a controlled substance....
What is it about Andorians...blue skin...or or the antenna things?

Linux in La Crosse
Submitted by N0EXE on Sat, 02/20/2010 - 02:51I was surprised to find an organized group on Linux around here. They meet on the 3rd Thursday each month at the meeting room off the lunch room at Franciscan Skemp Hospital. I found many of them to be pretty knowledgeable on the little details that make Linux really work well. Many of them use it at work and keep up with the latest developments. Most like and use Ubuntu. Personally I have Linux Mint. It works best my AcerAspireOne (second gen).
Here is the group:

Decorah Mound goat work
Submitted by N0EXE on Mon, 09/14/2009 - 18:00What a great weekend I had camping. Starting out Friday after work, I set the hammock up in at W9UUMs campsite at Lake Neshonic campground and spent some time chatting with him and enjoying some sweet corn and a campfire.
Saturday morning greeted me with a bit of fog, headed for Galesville on the Goldwing about 8AM. Met KC9ECI at his house where we then headed for Decorah Mound.
